4D project: Final
Posted in 4D by Rebecca Horsfall - Mar 24, 2009
After much editing and re-filming in After Effects i have come to my final video. I have decided to keep it full screen as the dual screen had no real reason and in places it did not flow very well.

COMMENTS4D project: Further development

I have decided to make my project dual screen after experimenting with the sequences i have already created. The first scene films the same bit but from two different points of view. Introducing prospective has made it feel more 3D and visually looks much better. The duration of the video is now smaller so i [...]

The last few days i have been trying various different renders for my project. I have been experimenting with the null object in After Effects and trying to understand paths. I was hoping to achieve the camera moving along the lines and shapes but its proving more difficult than i thought. However i have had [...]

I have now changed the position of the images so they intersect like in the picture below and then moved the camera around it. This is beginning to look more 3D, like an object. However you can see the edges of the images as the camera pans around and it doesn’t look very good. Need [...]

Right, i now have a copy of After Effects and i have started to get my head around it, plenty of tutorials online. I have imported my images onto the timeline and made them ‘3D layers’ which now means i can use the camera to pan around. My first attempt was not very successful. I [...]
COMMENTSCapturing body movement: Take 2

After the success of my first experiment i decided to take it to the next level, Muybridge style. I repeated the same process as last time but with two extra SLR cameras to capture movement from three different points of view. The three photographs below were all taken at the same time, with the shutter [...]
